This frog mini was inspired by the Carruthers' rain frog (Breviceps carruthersi).It’s cast in white porcelain gypsum and carefully hand-painted. It’s life-sized, measuring about 1.75” (4.5cm) in diameter.

This piece is slightly discounted as the mouth was gauged a little too deep, it has an extra grumpy sneer :)

Rain frogs can be found in the desert of South Africa and Namibia. They have a mighty squeak and love to bury themselves deep into the sand. Sadly they’re a vulnerable species in the wild, but have captured the hearts of many including myself and this is my tribute to them.

This piece is uniquely handmade, so there may be minor imperfections in texture and paint job. It’s truly one-of-a-kind!
